I'm very excited to announce improvements to caching in Homebräu CMS. After combing through pages and the core CMS design, I identified areas that frequently performed calculations and/or database queries. Pages like that used to be generated upon request.

Not anymore.

For example, the RSS feed and page archives are now generated when an entry is added, and cached once complete. Now when users access those pages, the information is pulled from the cache instead of being generated on the fly every time. On average, we're seeing performance gains between .005 seconds to as much as 3.15 seconds, depending on the complexity of the page. So, this page is proudly and quickly brought to you by Homebräu.

Have something to say regarding caching? Let me know in the comments.
