Rolling stones? Like the magazine or something?

I'm at the make or break point in my guitar class. I have to find a song with barre chords in it to play for the final. Trouble is, most of the obscure music I listen to usually doesn't have much for barre chords.

So my guitar instructor is naming some bands and songs he knows with new chords I should learn. And mostly all of them I haven't heard of. Poor guy is just trying to find one song with the right chords that I might know.

"What about Led Zepplin, almost anything of theirs has barre chords in it."
"I couldn't even name one of their songs."
"What about RadioHead, they have a couple."
"I only know them from that one South Park episode."
"Ok.... what about the Rolling Stones, you have to have heard of them right?"
"No, well I mean I've heard of them. And they have a magazine, but I've never listened to them."
*he stares at me blankly*
"Well, what do you listen to?"
"The Lawrence Arms, Alkaline Trio, The Decemberists.... I pretty much live under a musical rock."

So my homework for this week.... listen to main stream music.

It might kill me.

I don´t know that it would hurt you to listen to some good music for a change... You can only listen to so much ear garbage before you go deaf ya know!
