Rules to Live By

I'm not much for deep questions, meaning of life type stuff, or wondering why is there air (I save the last one for Bill Cosby).

I'm a pretty simple guy.

I try and conduct myself in the best way I know how, using these two rules:

  1. Do Great Work.
  2. Don't Be A Dick.

That's it.

Whenever I'm faced with a tough decision I try and remember those two when weighing the options. Does this decision mean I'm giving my best possible effort? Does this decision also positively impact the other people involved?

I always figured anything worth doing deserves your best effort. But that's not all, if you're doing great work but you're arrogant, or doing it by crushing people's souls and dreams then its probably not a good way for a person to conduct themselves.

That's as much as I've got figured out anyway. Well, that and some basic cross stitching.

You don't follow your second rule at all...mainly because you're a weenie. Enjoy your Legos!
